In the near future, the Earth will be covered by a powerful magnetic storm, which can significantly affect human health and the operation of technology.
According to the Space Weather Prediction Center of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a red-level magnetic storm with a K-index of 5 is expected today, November 17.
Such solar activity can cause disruptions in GPS, communications, and radio navigation, and can also affect the well-being of sensitive people – they will experience headaches, fatigue, or pressure fluctuations.
To minimize the impact of magnetic storms, experts advise following several recommendations: drink more water and avoid excess caffeine and alcohol, get enough sleep, and spend more time outdoors.
The very next day, November 18, magnetic fluctuations will become invisible to people, and by November 19, solar activity will completely weaken.
