Heat and rain with thunderstorms: weather forecast for next week
The new week in Ukraine will begin with a sharp contrast in weather: rain, thunderstorms, gusts of wind and hail in places are expected in the western regions, while the south will remain in the grip of intense heat.
This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko.
The weather conditions will be determined by the cyclone Karlheinz, the center of which is located over Poland. It will bring rainy and unstable weather to the West of Ukraine, and will also affect the Zhitomir, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Cherkasy and partly Chernihiv regions. At the same time, the rest of the territory will remain under the influence of the anticyclone – it will be dry and hot here.
The highest air temperature is expected in the southern regions and in the Dnipro region up to +39 °C. In central Ukraine, +30…+35 °C is predicted, in the eastern regions – +30…+33 °C. In the western and northern regions, it will be much more comfortable +23…+29 °C.
In Kyiv, showers with thunderstorms and daytime temperatures of +25…+28 °C are forecast for Monday. And already on Tuesday, July 29, the capital will be covered by intense heat – up to +34 °C, with high air humidity.
Didenko notes that the dry heat in the south of Ukraine will last for several more days. The heat may ease at the end of July – on the 31st.
