Heat and thunderstorms approach Ukraine

Tomorrow, July 25, an atmospheric front will enter Ukraine, bringing short-term rains and thunderstorms to the west and north of the country, while hot weather with temperatures up to +35°C will persist in most regions.

This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko.

During the day, precipitation with thunderstorms will cover the western regions, and by the evening it will spread to Zhitomir, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions. In the northwest of the country, a slight decrease in temperature is expected. However, the rest of the territory will remain in the grip of heat: the air temperature will be +28…+32°C, and in the south it will reach +35°C.

In Kyiv, the night will be dry, but local thunderstorms are possible during the day. The air will warm up to +30°C and above. Residents and guests of the capital are advised to have an umbrella with them when walking around the city.

Forecasters also recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight from 10:00 to 16:00, wearing hats, using SPF products and drinking plenty of water. The heat is expected to ease only after July 31.

Summer is still going on, so despite the heat, it is a great time for sunbathing, relaxation and beach season.
