Heat will be replaced by rain: Ukraine will be hit by severe weather on July 30

On Wednesday, July 30, a significant part of Ukraine will be covered by an active atmospheric front. Thunderstorms, showers, hail and gusty winds are expected, and in the central regions – a significant cooling. Forecasters warn of a yellow level of danger and possible disruptions in the work of transport and public utilities.
This was reported by the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.
According to the forecast, the weather in Ukraine on July 30 will be determined by an active atmospheric front and a zone of low pressure. Precipitation of varying intensity will cover most regions, except for the west, the far east, and Crimea.
In Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions, showers, hail and squalls up to 20 m/s are expected in some places.
The bad weather will be accompanied by sharp changes in temperature. In the western and part of the central regions (Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy) during the day the temperature will drop to +20…+25°C . On the other hand, in the south and east the heat will remain up to +38°C , which will create a contrast of air masses.
The wind on the Right Bank will be northwesterly, on the Left Bank – southeasterly, with a speed of 7–12 m/s. Strong gusts of wind are possible in the central regions – up to 20 m/s.
In Kyiv on July 30, cloudy weather with clearings, thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected. The temperature during the day is up to +23°C . In the region, it is from +20 to +25°C .
The storm may cause disruptions in the operation of energy systems, public transport and construction equipment. Ukrainian weather forecasters have declared a level I (yellow) danger, urging residents to be careful, not to plan trips without urgent need and to avoid being outside during a thunderstorm.
By the way, as of the morning of July 29 , power outages were recorded in seven regions due to bad weather.
It was previously reported that on July 28 and 29, rain, thunderstorms, gusty winds, and possible hail are expected in western and central regions of Ukraine . However, intense heat will prevail in the south of the country.
