Heating in Odessa and Lviv: when will heat start to reach homes?

In Odessa, heating is planned to be turned on approximately on November 9, and in Lviv, heat supply will begin on October 30. In both cities, the launch of the system will depend on the readiness of the networks and will proceed gradually.

This is evidenced by statements from local authorities.

In Odessa, boiler houses are planned to be launched in about a week and a half to two weeks. At the same time, utilities are ready to start supplying heat earlier if the weather worsens or the city authorities make a corresponding decision.

According to the Odessa City Heating Company, preparations for the heating season are nearing completion. The city also plans to launch 24-hour hotlines in districts so residents can report heating problems and other emergencies.

Separately, district administrations must coordinate with the heads of condominiums and housing cooperatives actions in the event of emergency power outages or heat supply interruptions. In addition, city council deputies supported a draft decision on an agreement with Naftogaz on the distribution of natural gas nominations for the city’s needs. The city authorities also called on Odessa residents to repay their debts for heat.

The heating season in Lviv will begin on October 30. The corresponding order was signed by the city mayor, Andriy Sadovyi.

According to him, the launch of the system may take several days. Therefore, heat will arrive in houses gradually, and the city authorities expect that heating will appear in the homes of Lviv residents by the weekend.

As a reminder, the heating season began in Kyiv on October 16. At the first stage , heat will be supplied to hospitals, schools, kindergartens, and other social institutions . At the same time, part of the Dniprovsky and Darnytsky districts will remain without heating due to damage to the power facility.
