Heating season in 2025: when will heat be provided?

In Ukraine, it is expected that within the next ten days the heating system will be operational in all settlements of the country.

This was announced by the head of NPC Ukrenergo, Vitaliy Zaichenko, during the telethon broadcast, Pryamy reports.

According to him, the weather is the key factor currently influencing the increase in electricity consumption. Due to the cold weather, the power system is recording an increase in load by more than 20% compared to the beginning of October.

“The main reason is the lack of centralized heat supply. We hope that in the near future, approximately within ten days, heat will be supplied throughout the country. This will reduce electricity consumption,” Zaichenko noted.

At the same time, the head of Ukrenergo called on Ukrainians to use household appliances rationally: avoid turning on several energy-intensive devices at the same time and not load the network during peak hours.

We would like to remind you that some time ago, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine amended the resolution on the heating season , updating the dates of its beginning and end. As a result, it became shorter by a month.

It was also previously reported that the Government is preparing to launch a new social program “Warm Winter” , which will provide for a one-time payment of 6,500 hryvnias to certain categories of citizens for support during the winter period of 2025/26.
