Hellish heat will cover Ukraine, but not all regions: where the bad weather will rage

Hot weather with temperatures up to +31 degrees will prevail in Ukraine this coming weekend. At the same time, thunderstorms, heavy rains, hail, and squalls are expected in the western regions, as well as in the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions.

This was reported by the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.

At the same time, forecaster Natalka Didenko explained that most of the country will be protected by an anticyclone, so precipitation is not forecast in most regions. According to her, unstable weather will affect the west due to the so-called line of convergence of air flows.

“The rest of Ukraine will be dry and sunny. Only on Sunday evening can thunderstorms spread to Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions,” Didenko noted.

According to the forecast of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, on July 18-19, the temperature at night will be from +11 to +19 degrees, and during the day – +22…+27 degrees. At the same time, on July 18 in the west and southwest, and on July 19 almost throughout the country, except for the western regions, the air will warm up to +26…+31 degrees.

In the western regions, and on Sunday also in Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, moderate, in places significant rains, thunderstorms, possible hail and squalls with a speed of 15–20 m/s are forecast.

The weekend in Kyiv will pass without precipitation. On Saturday, the air will warm up to about +26 degrees, and on Sunday the thermometer will rise to +30. On Monday, the weather will change – rain and a drop in temperature to +23 degrees are expected in the capital.
