Hitting the head with a hammer: social media reports of a maniac in the Obolonskyi district of Kyiv

Residents of the capital reported that a maniac is allegedly operating in the Obolon district, who hits women on the head with a hammer in the dark.

They write about this on social networks.

“Most likely, it’s someone local, because he operates in the same sector and there was already a case when they tried to catch up with him, but he was able to hide among the houses,” said user Tatiana Skripka.

According to her, there are currently 11 victims known to have been injured. All of them are in hospitals. However, nothing is known about their condition.

She said that law enforcement is aware of the situation and is investigating the perpetrator.

Instead, Kyiv police spokeswoman Hanna Strashok assured in a comment to TSN.ua that investigators had investigated information about attacks at the locations mentioned in the posts, but no confirmation was found.
