“Hollywood” chase: in the US, a teenager in a supercar broke through an airport fence and crashed into a plane

In the US, a 17-year-old driver of a Ford Mustang, fleeing from police, crashed through an airport fence and crashed first into a tractor and then into a parked Pilatus PC-12 aircraft. Police said the driver was likely under the influence of alcohol, and no one else was injured in the accident.

The incident occurred at around 8:09 p.m. on August 29 at the Portsmouth Airport. New Hampshire State Police were searching for a vehicle linked to crimes in other jurisdictions when they spotted a black 2008 Ford Mustang.
The officer attempted to stop the car, but the driver did not stop and began to flee without his headlights on. After entering the airfield, the Mustang broke through the perimeter fence, crossed the aircraft parking area, crashed into a tractor, and then into a parked Pilatus PC-12.
The driver was detained after the accident and taken to hospital for examination. There were no other injuries. The airport said it remained open despite the incident and that airport operations were not disrupted.
The impact caused the plane’s left wing and landing gear to collapse. PlaneSense, which operates the plane, confirmed that it was at its headquarters in Portsmouth awaiting routine maintenance.
Police identified the driver as 17-year-old Wyatt Seeley of Rochester, New Hampshire. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated DWI, failure to stop and leaving the scene of an accident, and reckless driving.
A court hearing in Seely’s case is scheduled for Sept. 9 in Portsmouth District Court.
