Hot water supply limited in Kyiv due to energy situation
In Kyiv, centralized hot water supply has been temporarily restricted amid the worsening situation in the power grid due to Russian shelling.
This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
As explained by the capital’s administration, restrictions on hot water supply are being implemented as part of emergency measures.
“The released thermal power is directed to the restoration of heat supply. After all, at low air temperatures, it is technically very difficult to restart the system. This is especially relevant in conditions when the system has to be started not for the first time, in particular for the third time – as in part of the housing stock of the Desnyansky district,” the report says.
It is emphasized that hot water will not disappear for all residents of the city, but only in houses where it is technically necessary to restore heat supply.
“This is a forced and temporary step necessary to eliminate the consequences of enemy attacks, restore heat to homes, and further stabilize the operation of the power system,” the Kyiv City State Administration noted.
We remind you that Kyiv warned: in the event of freezing of sewer pipes in Troyeshchyna , the authorities plan to install street toilets with pits .
