According to intelligence, the enemy expects to wage hostilities for at least another two years, and the chances of successfully completing the negotiation process in the coming months remain extremely low due to the aggressor’s reluctance to change its strategy.

This was reported on the air of “Pryamoy” by Anatoliy Kupol, colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former commander of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade.

“The enemy’s plans, which our intelligence intercepted, are to continue hostilities for approximately two years. The probability that these negotiations will take place and there will be peace this year is quite small, somewhere around ten percent,” the military officer emphasized.

He noted that the global geopolitical situation is constantly transforming, in particular due to the aggravation of relations between Iran and the United States. Kupol compared the Russian regime to a dangerous disease, noting that negotiations with dictators often do not bring results. In his opinion, world leaders will continue to apply pressure until they achieve their goals of stabilizing security.

In addition, the colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained that modern warfare is characterized by the absence of the “fog of war” due to the massive use of drones, which does not allow the parties to accumulate large groups unnoticed. Although the aggressor has an advantage in manpower, he is incapable of large-scale offensives of the classical type. Currently, the situation at the front remains difficult due to the personnel shortage, which has been going on for the third year in a row, – noted Anatoliy Kupol.

Meanwhile, Russian troops are trying to completely capture Pokrovsk and Mirnograd in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian units in the group’s area of responsibility are holding back enemy attacks. It also became known that as of March 6, Russian troops had advanced near the village of Pokrovka , Krasnopil community, Sumy region.

Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War previously said that Russia could use the conflict in the Middle East to discredit peace talks over Ukraine. They believe that the Kremlin may be trying to shift responsibility for the possible failure of the talks to the United States.
