How many Flamingo missiles are produced in Ukraine: the developer company’s response

Fire Point, the company that created the Flamingo missile, has already reached a production rate of 50 units of this weapon per month. By the end of the year, the company plans to reach a new record of producing about seven missiles per day.

This was told by the company’s service manager Iryna Terek in an interview with LIGA.net. She noted that in August Fire Point produced only 30 missiles, and is now scaling up production and setting an ambitious goal – to produce seven missiles every day by the end of the year.

“In August, we produced 30 missiles per month, now – 50. I am not sure about the implementation of the plan by October (about increasing production to 7 missiles per day – ed.), but it will definitely happen by the end of the year. This is already serial production, the only question is scaling,” she said.

According to Terek, the process is made cheaper by the company’s own composite wing manufacturing technology. It actually reduces the production cycle from seven days to just two hours. This allows for a significant reduction in cost without losing efficiency.

In addition, Fire Point is actively implementing robotics and unique carbon winding methods, which makes production more modern and competitive.

As previously reported, Ukraine has received a new generation of “Flamingo” missiles . Its range reaches about 3,000 km, and the warhead weighs about one ton – this is twice the power of the American Tomahawk warhead. “Flamingo” is an analogue of the FP-5 from Milanion Group, which has already established production and is ready to produce dozens of such missiles every month.

As a reminder, at the end of August , Flamingo missiles hit an FSB outpost and patrol boats in temporarily occupied Crimea.
