How many men illegally left Ukraine with permits from the Ministry of Culture: the number named

During the full-scale invasion, the Ministry of Culture granted exit permits to almost 3,000 men who never returned to Ukraine.
This is stated in the investigation of People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
The investigation reveals that the artists or volunteers who support the Armed Forces of Ukraine with concerts are not real. These are:
- businessmen;
- IT professionals;
- politicians.
It is noted that such individuals posed as “sound healers”, “stage technicians” or fictitious media representatives.
During the investigation, the People’s Deputy said that under the guise of trips to Eurovision or “journalistic assignments,” representatives of circles close to the government left the country.
Among those who were released were the director of the series “Servant of the People”, curators of the United Marathon, deputies from the People’s Party of Ukraine, and others.
The scheme to travel abroad was organized not only in the Ministry of Culture, but also in other ministries, which, according to investigators, “stamp permits without clear rules and control.”
“That’s why we filmed this story. Not for hype, but for publicity. Because after something like this, ministers should write resignation letters, not new letters to border guards,” notes Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
It was previously reported that the Verkhovna Rada is discussing the possibility of allowing men under the age of 23–24 to travel abroad for military service .
