How many missiles and Shaheds does Russia have: the GUR named the enemy’s reserves

Russia has accumulated up to 700 ballistic missiles, several thousand cruise missiles, and about 6,200 attack drones on the eve of winter. At the same time, Russian enterprises produce more than 200 missiles and about 10,000 drones of various types every month.

This is reported by NV, citing data from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to GUR estimates, Russia has about 115 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and produces up to 65 new ones every month. In addition, the Russians are working on modernizing the complex to increase its range from the current 500 to 550-700 kilometers.

The Kh-101 cruise missile remains one of the main weapons for mass strikes on Ukraine. Russian factories produce more than 80 of these missiles per month, although some of the production has technical faults.

Also, more than 450 Kalibr cruise missiles remain in Russian arsenals. Russia produces about 29 units per month, but a significant portion of new missiles is directed to the strategic reserve.

In addition, according to intelligence, Russia has:

  • up to 400 RM-48U missiles for S-300PM/S-400 complexes, which can be used against ground targets. Monthly production is about 40 units;

  • over 600 Onyx missiles, which the Russians have modernized to strike ground targets;

  • over 120 Zircon hypersonic missiles. In the first seven months of 2026, the Russian Federation produced just over 30 such missiles.

At the same time, Russia temporarily halted production of Kinzhal missiles due to accuracy issues. Production capacity was reoriented to produce other ballistic weapons.

Despite the massive strikes on Ukraine, Russia’s total missile stockpiles remain at approximately the same level as in July of this year.

The Russian army is paying special attention to the production of attack drones. According to the GUR, Moscow has expanded production facilities in the Alabuga special economic zone in Tatarstan.

This year, the Russian government’s order for Geran drones, reconnaissance drones, and Gerber-type decoys exceeded 100,000 units.

As of autumn, the Russians have accumulated about 6,200 Geranium drones of various modifications, including jet-powered ones. This reserve allows the Russian Federation to carry out massive attacks in several waves.

In total, Russian enterprises produce about 10,000 drones every month, including attack drones, reconnaissance aircraft, and aerial target simulators.

At the same time, Russia has significantly increased the production of jet drones since the summer of 2026. Currently, Russian enterprises are assembling about 4,000 of these devices every month, mainly the Geran-4 and Geran-5 models.

These drones can reach speeds of 400-500 km/h, making them difficult to intercept by mobile fire groups.

Meanwhile, the Russians continue to produce about 2,000 conventional Geranium-2s each month. Such drones are cheaper to produce, have a significant flight range, and help the enemy exhaust Ukrainian air defenses.

The GUR notes that Russia is relying on the massive use of various types of drones to overload Ukrainian air defense during combined attacks.
