How many social sphere facilities were connected to heat during the new heating season: Svyridenko gave the answer

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko reported that within the new heating season, more than half of social sphere facilities have been connected to heat.

She wrote about this on Telegram.

According to the official, more than 55% of kindergartens, hospitals, and schools are already receiving heat.

At the same time, in 13 regions, heat is already partially supplied to homes, and in the remaining regions, it will be gradually connected, taking into account weather conditions.

Svyridenko emphasized that the decision to start is made by local governments, taking into account the temperature regime.

She added that despite the Russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector, more than 17.5 thousand boiler houses and 17 thousand kilometers of heating networks are ready for the heating season.

“Over 340 km of heating networks have been replaced, repair work has been carried out, and reserves of coal, pallets, liquid fuel, and firewood have been formed. The Government’s priority is to ensure continuous access to basic services. We are doing everything to ensure that Ukrainians have warmth and light in their homes,” the Prime Minister concluded.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the official start of the heating season is scheduled for October 28 .
