How many Ukrainians have already received “Winter Support” from the government: Svyrydenko published the figures

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported that the Cabinet of Ministers has made the first payments to Ukrainians within the framework of “Winter Support”.
She wrote about this on her online resources.
According to her, payments for applications submitted on November 15 have already started. In this way, almost 2 million citizens of Ukraine received assistance, of which 1.7 million were adults, and another 253 thousand payments were made to children.
In total, more than 10 million Ukrainians have already benefited from the support program. Applications can be submitted until December 24, and funds can be used until June 2026.
The money received can be used to pay for utilities, purchase medicines, Ukrainian-made products (except excisable ones), books, as well as for charitable contributions or postal services.
As reported, the government wants to finance “Winter Support” by reducing other social expenditures : according to accompanying documents, it is proposed to take money from programs to protect children and low-income families.
It is known that since the launch of the “Winter Support” program on November 15, 2.5 million citizens have already submitted applications for a one-time assistance of 1,000 hryvnias .
