The State Border Service conducted an official check and found out that businessman Timur Mindich had legally left Ukraine.

This was reported by the State Statistical Service of Ukraine.

“A wide public outcry was caused by the appearance in the media on November 10 of a report that Ukrainian citizen Timur Mindich illegally crossed the border and fled Ukraine. In this regard, the State Border Service of Ukraine conducted its own official investigation to establish the circumstances of the border crossing,” the report says.

As a result, it was established that Mindich allegedly crossed the border legally.

In particular, the service explained that the businessman was issued a border permit to leave Ukraine at one of the checkpoints in accordance with the norms of current legislation.

Separately, the State Border Service of the Republic of Ukraine emphasized that the border guards did not receive any restrictions on the ban on leaving, and the necessary documents for crossing the border were available.

“The State Border Service of Ukraine did not receive any instructions from any law enforcement agency that border service inspectors should use in the event of detecting this citizen at the state border, in particular, regarding the prohibition of his departure from Ukraine, search, or informing about the fact of crossing the state border,” the press service noted.

As a reminder, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office are conducting a large-scale operation “Midas” to expose corruption in the energy sector . According to the investigation, the activities of a high-level criminal organization were established, which controlled financial flows and personnel decisions in state energy structures.

It is worth noting that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office reported suspicions against 7 individuals involved in a large-scale corruption scheme at JSC NNEGC Energoatom.

Previously, journalists from “Schemes” identified the names of individuals whom NABU detectives reported suspicious to as part of an investigation into corruption in the energy sector, including Timur Mindich.

It is known that Zelenskyy announced the introduction of sanctions against participants in the corruption scheme at Energoatom Timur Mindich and Oleksandr Zukerman.
