How the power outage schedules will work on October 29: Ukrenergo’s explanation

On Wednesday, October 29, measures to limit electricity consumption will be applied in some regions of Ukraine.

This was reported by Ukrenergo.

The corresponding decision was a consequence of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities.

Hourly outage schedules of 0.5 to 1.5 shifts will be applied from 08:00 to 22:00.

Instead, capacity limitation schedules for industrial consumers will be in effect from 07:00 to 22:00.

Ukrenergo emphasized that the time and scope of application of restrictions may change and advised to follow the latest information on the pages of regional energy companies.

“When electricity appears on schedule – please consume it sparingly!” the company urged.

As is known, Russia continues to purposefully attack Ukraine’s energy infrastructure , trying to make parts of the country uninhabitable. The Kremlin’s goal is to destroy energy networks, cause a humanitarian crisis, and provoke mass emigration.

It was previously reported that Russia has revised its tactics for shelling Ukrainian energy infrastructure and is now not trying to destroy the system all at once, but rather seeks to gradually disable it.
