“How to Control the System”: NABU Releases New Records in the “Forrest Gump” Case

The participants in the Forrest Gump case discussed the inability to obtain information from anti-corruption agencies and considered how to control the anti-corruption system.

This is stated in new records published by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

In one of the recordings, members of the criminal organization complain that they cannot receive information from NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

After that, the interlocutors discuss the possibility of controlling the anti-corruption system.

According to NABU, the conversation took place on January 31, 2026 between the then Deputy Head of the President’s Office and the former MP.

As previously reported, the Cabinet of Ministers has removed the chairman of the supervisory board of the state-owned Sense Bank . The government has also initiated the removal of the chairman of the bank’s board.

As a reminder, NABU reported on the conduct of investigative actions within the framework of the special operation “Forrest Gump”. At that time, the agency did not disclose the names of the suspects and other details of the investigation, promising to provide more information later.
