How to submit a report on a change of place of service through “Army+”: explanation from the Ministry of Defense

Ukrainian military personnel have the opportunity to change their place of service online – through the “Army+” mobile application.

The press service of the Ministry of Defense published an algorithm of actions.

Currently, the transfer of military personnel is only possible between units within the structures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or the National Guard.

To do this, you need a letter of recommendation, a sample of which can be downloaded from “Army+” when submitting a report on a change of place of service.

“To do this, on the screen with the addition of a letter of recommendation, click on the reference text below and download the template. The letter is valid for 30 days from the date of signature. Be sure to submit the report within this period,” the Ministry of Defense explains.

A separate military document is required – a military ID, officer’s ID, or other document. It is important not to confuse the section numbers with the page numbers when downloading.

If additional documents are required for the selected position, the Ministry of Defense advises preparing them in advance.

In addition, the department pointed out frequent mistakes made by the military when submitting reports:

• Blurry photos of documents . You need to use a high-quality camera.
• Incorrect job title in the recommendation letter or report . It is important to indicate the position in full and not abbreviate it, otherwise the report will be rejected.
• The job title in the recommendation letter and on the military record is different . Make sure the job title in the letter is the same as on the military record screen.
• The military unit number in the recommendation letter and in the military document is different . The unit number must match in the recommendation letter and in the military document. If it has changed or the unit has been reorganized, an official certificate must be attached so that the personnel center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine counts the service time not only in the unit with the new number.

The decision to change the place of service should be made within 72 hours of submitting the report, the defense ministry added.

Previously, the Ministry of Defense explained how servicemen who voluntarily left the unit before May 10, 2025, can return to the army under a simplified system through the “Army+” application.
