Russia has amassed hundreds of ballistic missiles, several thousand cruise missiles, and over six thousand strike drones. At the same time, the aggressor country continues to increase the production of weapons, including long-range kamikaze drones.
This was reported by the NV publication, citing the response of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to the request.
According to Ukrainian intelligence estimates, as of October, Russia has up to 700 ballistic missiles. In particular, its arsenal includes about 115 Iskander-M missiles, and Russian enterprises produce up to 65 such munitions every month.
In addition, the Russian Federation is developing a modernized version of this complex, the range of which could be from 550 to 700 km. For comparison, the current figure is about 500 km.
One of Russia’s main tools for massive attacks on Ukraine remains the Kh-101 cruise missile. Their production exceeds 80 units per month.
The stock of sea-based Kalibr missiles is estimated at more than 450 units, and the monthly production is about 29 missiles. The GUR explained that due to the high efficiency of Ukrainian air defense, Russia is forced to direct most of the new Kalibrs to the strategic reserve and use them to equip the fleets.
The Russian arsenal also includes up to 400 RM-48U anti-aircraft missiles from the S-300PM and S-400 complexes, which have been adapted to strike ground targets. The Russian Federation produces about 40 such missiles every month.
The stockpile of Onyx anti-ship missiles, upgraded to increase the range and power of the warhead, exceeds 600 units. More than 55 of them were produced in the first seven months of 2026.
Russia has more than 120 Zircon hypersonic missiles in its inventory. However, their production rate remains low: since the beginning of 2026, a little more than 30 such missiles have been produced.
The Russians temporarily suspended production of Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles due to unsatisfactory accuracy. Instead, production facilities were reoriented to the production of conventional ballistic missiles.
Russia is also ramping up production of strike drones. In particular, in the Alabuga special economic zone in Tatarstan, capacities for the production of long-range kamikaze drones have been expanded. The state order for Geran-type drones and simulator drones this year exceeded 100,000 units.
The GUR noted that such volumes indicate Russia’s systematic focus on exhausting Ukrainian air defense.
Currently, the occupiers’ operational reserve includes about 6.2 thousand Geran drones of various modifications, including jet ones. In total, Russian production of UAVs has reached 10 thousand units per month.
Since the summer, Russia has focused on producing the Geran-4 and Geran-5 jet drones. Their production is up to 4,000 units per month.
In addition, Russian companies are producing up to 2,000 Geran-2 drones and hundreds of cheap Gerber drone simulators made of plywood and foam every month. They are used to exhaust Ukrainian air defenses and detect the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems.
It was previously reported that the administration of US President Donald Trump is delaying approval for the transfer of Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine, which are needed to protect against Russian missile attacks. US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has not yet approved the necessary permits, although he has not officially refused the supply.
