Hundreds of settlements without electricity, consumption has increased: Ukrenergo is asked to save money

Electricity consumption has increased in Ukraine, and more than 600 settlements in eight regions have been left without electricity due to bad weather. At the same time, there are new power outages in several regions due to Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.
This was reported by Ukrenergo.
As of 09:30 on September 24, electricity consumption was 1.8% higher than at the same time the day before. The reason is cloudy and rainy weather almost throughout Ukraine. As a result, home solar power plants produce less electricity, and the load on the general network increases.
The day before, on September 23, the daily maximum consumption was also higher — by 3.3% compared to September 22.
“Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances from 10:00 to 22:00,” Ukrenergo urged.
After the Russian attacks, new power outages were recorded in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Vinnytsia regions.
Energy workers are already carrying out emergency restoration work where the security situation allows.
Bad weather caused some problems. Due to heavy rains and strong winds, more than 600 settlements in Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Kyiv, and Chernihiv regions were left completely or partially without electricity.
Repair crews are restoring damaged overhead lines. At the same time, weather conditions in some regions are still making work difficult.
Ukrenergo reminded that the situation in the power system may change, so consumers are advised to monitor messages from their distribution system operator.
