Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto accused Ukraine of an “attack” on an oil pipeline in Russia, which halted oil supplies to his country.
He wrote about this on Facebook.
Szijjártó said that Ukraine had again attacked the oil pipeline leading to Hungary. The Ukrainian attack led to the cessation of oil supplies to Hungary.
He did not specify the name of the oil pipeline, but it could be the Druzhba. Hungary receives more than 50% of all its oil imports through it.
“This attack on our energy security is outrageous and unacceptable!” the Hungarian Foreign Minister stressed.
Szijjártó accused the EU and Kyiv of trying to drag Hungary into war for three and a half years. He also added that “Ukraine’s increasingly frequent attacks on our energy security are aimed at this.”
“Finally, we remind Ukrainian politicians: electricity from Hungary plays a key role in Ukraine’s energy supply,” he added.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that Ukrainian refugees in the country receive more generous assistance than unemployed Hungarians, and did not rule out limiting financial support in the future .
