Hungarian opposition reacts to Zelensky’s words about Orban

The leader of the Hungarian opposition party “Tisa” Peter Magyar came to the defense of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban after the statements of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Magyar, who is considered Orban’s main rival in the upcoming elections, called on Zelensky to explain his words.

“No foreign head of state can threaten anyone, no Hungarian. Neither the outgoing Orban government nor the future “Tysy” government. Therefore, I call on the Ukrainian president to explain his words, and if he really said them, to retract them,” the politician said.

His comment concerns Zelensky’s statement regarding Hungary’s blocking of a 90 billion euro European Union loan for Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine expressed hope that the decision on the loan would not be blocked by “one person,” hinting at Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Zelensky later stated that if the loan continues to be blocked, “the address of this person” may be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Let them call him and communicate with him in their own language,” the president said.

As previously reported, the editor-in-chief of the publication “European Truth” Serhiy Sydorenko criticized Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statement about Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed the opinion that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban may be defeated in the upcoming parliamentary elections, after which Kyiv and Budapest will have the opportunity to restore full-fledged relations.

Orban previously stated that Ukraine was blocking the transportation of oil through the Druzhba pipeline and threatened to resume the process by force .
