Viktor Orban complained in a letter to Donald Trump about the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attacks on the Russian Druzhba oil pipeline. The US president responded that he was “very angry” about it.
This was reported on Telex.
In his letter, Orban complained that “the Ukrainians are constantly shelling the Druzhba oil pipeline.” He noted in the letter that the Ukrainians have done the same thing to Nord Stream.
“Our neighbor is at war. If anyone thought it was far away, the Russian missile attack on Mukachevo could have sobered them up. This war poses a direct and constant threat to Hungary and Hungarians – both in Transcarpathia and in Hungary itself. Only peace!” Orban wrote.
The Hungarian Prime Minister also posted a photo of the letter, on which Trump wrote a response in marker: “I hate to hear this. I’m very angry about this. Tell Slovakia. You are a great friend of mine.”
It is worth noting that Ukrainian drones hit a strategic facility on Russian territory – an oil pumping station in the city of Unecha, Bryansk region . The facility is part of the Druzhba oil pipeline system.
As reported, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó announced that on August 19, the Druzhba oil pipeline, which had completely stopped operating due to attacks by Ukrainian drones, had resumed supplies.
