Despite his campaign promise to quickly end the war in Ukraine, US President Donald Trump is now unsure whether he will succeed.

“I don’t know. I can’t tell you whether it will happen or not,” he said when asked if he was confident he would end the fighting in Ukraine.
At the same time, Trump assured that he would like the war to end.
“We have helped many countries. The situation with Ukraine is a Biden deal. It is not a Trump deal. I am trying to complete it,” the US president added.
As a reminder, the day before, on July 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the US leader had a telephone conversation against the backdrop of the suspension of American aid.
By the way, on July 3, US President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin had a conversation that lasted over an hour. The key topic was ending the war against Ukraine.
