Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump met on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey. Donald Trump made a number of important statements.
In particular, Donald Trump promised to provide Ukraine with a license to produce Patriot missiles. “That way he (Volodymyr Zelenskyy, – ed. ) won’t be able to say that we don’t give them enough. Make them yourself… I think you’ll learn to make them quickly,” Donald Trump added.
The US President also assured that he and the Ukrainian President have a “good relationship.”
At the same time, according to Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine is beginning to develop an agreement with the US on drones.
The US president also noted that the shelling of Russian refineries is “an escalation that could end the war.”
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was present at the meeting, added that the US would help Ukraine strike deep inside Russia to end the war.
Donald Trump also announced his phone call to Putin and a possible visit to Ukraine.
