British boxer Daniel Dubois has expressed his disappointment over the lack of hype surrounding his upcoming rematch with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. Despite the status of the fight for the title of absolute world champion, the athlete believes that the fight has not received due attention from the public and the media.

In a conversation with journalists, Daniel Dubois shared his emotions before the most important fight in his career – a rematch with world champion Oleksandr Usyk, which will take place on July 19 at the legendary Wembley Stadium in London.

“This is definitely the most important fight of my life. But it feels like everything is happening under the covers – no one is talking much about the fight. I expected much more publicity,” the boxer admitted.

Dubois suggested that the situation could change on fight day, but for now he is concerned about the general indifference to the event, which is supposed to determine the absolute world heavyweight champion.

“There’s always a buzz with Joshua, even if he’s not putting on a show. And with my fights, something’s always wrong…” the Briton added.

Despite everything, Daniel is serious and believes that this fight will help him finally make a statement.

“After this fight, I want to put everything in its place and move on as a true champion. The absolute world champion,” he said.

It is worth recalling that the first meeting between Usyk and Dubois took place on August 26, 2023 in Wroclaw (Poland) and ended with the Ukrainian winning by technical knockout in the 9th round. Now all the major heavyweight belts will be at stake – the WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO and The Ring titles.
