During a plenary session in the Verkhovna Rada on February 25, a conflict arose between MP Maryana Bezugla and Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.

This became known from the broadcast of the meeting.

In particular, the MP did not have enough time to announce the proposal in her speech. Stefanchuk told her about this. Bezugla demanded that her proposal be voiced, but was refused.

“I have given you time for the procedure. You either have some comments on the conduct, or a proposal. And if you don’t have time to announce the proposal in the rush… I can’t give you that much (time — ed.),” said Stefanchuk.

After that, Bezugla approached the presidium with her hand raised, stating that she would not allow the meeting to be held.

The MP and the speaker argued for some time. Bezugla stated that she had another question.

“What other question? Syrsky’s challenge? Dear colleagues, it turns out that this procedure was about Syrsky’s challenge,” Stefanchuk noted.

Bezugla again demanded a minute to speak, but the speaker refused her, adding: “What did you want? Just lie down here. I don’t care. We will work.”

Later, Stefanchuk put to a vote a proposal to recall the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which ultimately did not receive support. Only 38 deputies voted “for”, 13 — “against”, another 31 people’s representatives abstained, and 214 — did not vote.

As a result, Bezugla left the podium. In return, Stefanchuk promised to give her time later.

“This is not the time for Maryana Volodymyrivna. You raised your hand — I gave you (time — ed.), we voted, you saw the result,” he summed up.

After the signal vote, Bezugla was given a minute to speak, during which she demanded that Syrsky be summoned to the Verkhovna Rada. Stefanchuk again put the proposal to the vote, but the deputies did not support it.

We will remind, earlier a fight broke out in the Verkhovna Rada after MP Maryana Bezugla blocked the rostrum and demanded the resignation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.
