Ice Age in Ukrainian: frost and wind turned the Black Sea coast into an icy landscape

In Odessa, after severe frosts and winds, Lanzheron Beach turned into an icy shore of the Black Sea. Waves froze on concrete structures and railings, forming a thick layer of ice.

Due to low air temperatures and strong winds, seawater rolled ashore during waves and froze on coastal elements.

Ice covered concrete structures, railings, and part of the coast, forming a characteristic winter landscape.

By the way, frosty weather will persist in Ukraine from January 17 to 22 , caused by Arctic air and a powerful anticyclone from the northeast. At night, the air temperature in some regions will drop to -25 degrees Celsius, and almost no precipitation is expected.

The day before, weather forecaster Natalka Didenko warned that frosty weather in Ukraine would persist until the end of January .
