Ice danger: wet snow and ice will cover Ukraine

Cold weather will cover Ukraine in the coming days: light snow is expected throughout the country, with rain and ice in places in the west and south of the country.

According to the forecast of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, light snow is expected in most regions of the country on January 23-25. In the west and south, wet snow with rain is forecast these days, and in some places, ice on the roads.

The air temperature at night in the northeast and east of the country will be 10–15°C below zero, and during the day 5–11°C below zero. In the south, Transcarpathia, and Prykarpattia, the thermometer will show 0–7°C below zero at night, and during the day from 3°C below zero to +4°C below zero. In the central and other regions, 4–11°C below zero is expected at night, and 1–9°C below zero during the day.

Winds are predominantly east and southeast, 5–10 m/s.

Light snow is forecast in Kyiv on January 23–24, with 9–11°C at night and -9°C during the day. On Sunday, light snow is expected in the capital at night (3–5°C) and wet snow during the day (0–+2°), with a southeast wind of 5–10 m/s.
