“If you don’t like it, we’ll close it”: Duda threatened to limit the transit of aid to Ukraine

Polish President Andrzej Duda criticized the approach of Western partners and Ukraine to Poland’s role in the process of providing military assistance. In particular, he mentioned the airport in Rzeszow, which has become a key logistics hub.
He stated this in an interview with the Polsat News TV channel.
According to Duda, Poland often does not participate in decisions that directly affect its territory and infrastructure, which, in his opinion, is unfair.
“Sometimes it seems that both Ukrainians and our allies perceive Rzeszow Airport and our roads as their own. But this is our territory, not theirs. If we don’t like the situation, we can simply close these routes,” he said.
The President noted that Poland was not involved in some international formats where the logistics of aid deliveries to Ukraine were discussed. He did not give specific examples or names of structures.
“If you don’t like it, fine. We’ll close the airport, and then look for other methods of delivery: by sea, by air, by parachute – whatever you want,” Duda emotionally commented on the situation.
He separately mentioned that at the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, Kyiv asked Warsaw to transfer MiG-29 fighters, but the transfer did not take place due to the position of the United States, which opposed such a step.
