“In any format”: Zelenskyy declared his readiness to meet with Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated his readiness to meet with Vladimir Putin in any format. He called the key condition that Russia’s statements correspond to its real actions.
He said this while talking to journalists.
Zelenskyy drew attention to the contradiction between Vladimir Putin’s statements and Russia’s actions. According to him, the rhetoric about the desire to end the war is inconsistent with further strikes and orders to the military command.
“Frankly, it looks a little strange. And I told the US president this: on the one hand, he tells the US president that he wants to end the war and that this is his desire. And on the other hand, he communicates openly in the media, all his messages, that he is ready and wants to continue the war. He hits us with missiles, speaks openly about it, rejoices at the results of the destruction of civilian infrastructure, gives orders to his generals where to go, what to capture, etc.,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The head of state emphasized that such actions do not correspond to the peaceful rhetoric that the Russian leader uses in communicating with US President Donald Trump.
“But once again – how to meet, in what format to agree, we don’t care. We are ready. It is important that the actions and words of the Russian leader coincide,” Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized.
Earlier, the media reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may have a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin for the first time in over 5 years . This possibility is associated with the talks between Zelenskyy and Donald Trump, which took place in Florida.

Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump spoke by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin before meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Talks between the US and Ukrainian leaders are set to begin in about an hour.
It is worth adding that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on the eve of his meeting with US President Donald Trump, stated that important decisions could be made by the end of the year . According to him, this depends on the position of Ukraine’s international partners and pressure on Russia.
