In Dnipro, a mother and son were directing Russian airstrikes against the city.

In Dnipro, the SBU detained two FSB agents who were gathering intelligence to prepare and coordinate Russian strikes on the city. They turned out to be the mother and brother of another Russian agent exposed by Ukrainian intelligence in June.

The Security Service of Ukraine reported this.

According to investigators, it was the previously exposed agent who recruited her relatives to collaborate with Russian intelligence agencies. They monitored the location and technical condition of defense facilities that could become targets for Russian attacks.

To gather information, the suspects walked around restricted areas and plotted the coordinates of production facilities and logistics warehouses on Google Maps.

They also recorded the impact locations of Russian missiles and drones and collected information on the aftermath of the attacks. This data could be used to prepare new strikes or adjust follow-up attacks on the Dnieper.

After the main agent was exposed, her mother and brother temporarily ceased their activities, but later reconnected with their Russian handler and attempted to continue their collaboration.

The SBU documented their activities and detained both suspects. During searches, their mobile phones, which they used to transmit the information they had collected to FSB agents, were seized.

The mother and son were charged with treason. They are currently in custody. If found guilty, they face life imprisonment and confiscation of property.

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a man in Kyiv suspected of working for the FSB. According to investigators, he was collecting coordinates of objects that the Russians could use as targets for missile and drone strikes on the capital.
