In Dnipropetrovsk region, a man opened fire on a moped: a 13-year-old boy was injured

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a 64-year-old man shot a 13-year-old boy because of the noise of a moped. The teenager was wounded in the chest and hospitalized.

This was reported by the police and prosecutor’s office of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The incident occurred on September 2 in a village in the Kamiansky district. According to investigators, the boy was riding a moped past a man’s house. The man became angry because of the noise from the road, took an air rifle, went out to the side of the road and shot at the moped.

As a result, a 13-year-old boy received a chest wound. Medics provided him with assistance and took him to the hospital.

After the incident, law enforcement officers searched the suspect’s house. They seized an air pistol and a rifle, as well as cartridges. The weapons and ammunition were sent for examination.

A 64-year-old man was reported on suspicion of intentional grievous bodily harm under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

He faces five to eight years in prison.
