In Dnipropetrovsk region, a man wounded four people with a knife: law enforcement officers shot the attacker

On Sunday, August 24, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a local resident stabbed four people and injured another.

This was reported by the Main Police Department in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to preliminary information, a man stabbed two women in a field in the Karpivska community, then set fire to the hay.

When the State Emergency Service employees arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire, the suspect also attacked them: one of the rescuers was stabbed, and the other received bodily injuries.

“To stop the offense, police officers from Police Department No. 6 of the Kryvyi Rih Regional Administrative District went to the scene and arrived at the scene at a time when the attacker attacked his father with a knife and injured him,” the report says.

According to the police, the man did not respond to the demands of law enforcement officers and resisted.

“During the cessation of illegal actions, the police officer fired warning shots into the air, after which he used a firearm against the offender,” the police press service explained.

As a result of the shot, the attacker received non-life-threatening injuries.

All the circumstances of the incident are currently being established. Investigators are providing a legal assessment of the events. In addition, an investigation by the State Bureau of Investigation has been ordered.
