On the morning of October 3, law enforcement officers in Moldova found debris from drones and missiles in 4 regions of the country after a series of explosions. In Krokmaz, a drone crash set dry vegetation on fire and shattered glass in a nearby building.

Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that five Russian air targets flew into the country’s territory this morning – three missiles, probably “Banderol”, and two drones.

“I condemn Russia’s attacks on Ukraine this morning. This war is dangerously approaching Moldova. Five Russian aerial targets, including Banderol missiles and drones, violated our airspace and exploded on our soil. Moscow is putting lives at risk across Europe and must be stopped,” she wrote.

According to the Air Operations Service of the National Army of Moldova, 5 drones crossed the country’s airspace from 07:45 to 08:00. They were spotted near Novi Aneni, Ștefan Vode, Hinchești, Tudori and Caușani.

Local residents reported explosions to the police near settlements in the Caushany, Stefan Vodsk, Novoanensky, and Hincheşti districts.

On the outskirts of Caushany, law enforcement officers found the remains of a drone, smoke rising from it. Drone fragments were also found near Dubrovka in the Hinchești district and between the villages of Delakeu and Puheșeni in the Novoanen district.

Another drone crashed near the village of Krokmaz in the Stefan Vodsk district. Dry vegetation caught fire there, and the explosion shattered glass in a nearby building.

In total, the police recorded 5 separate cases in 4 regions of Moldova. According to law enforcement officials, there were no injuries.

Representatives of the police and the National Army are working on the ground. Law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of the incidents and establishing the circumstances of the drone crashes.

Residents were urged not to approach the explosion sites and not to touch debris or other suspicious objects.

Recall that on the evening of Wednesday, September 30, a drone exploded in the Orhei district of Moldova, which, according to preliminary data, was a Russian drone of the Geran type with a jet engine . The fall caused several craters, and the debris flew over 100 meters.

Earlier, on September 30, a drone flew over the territory of Moldova and later fell near the village of Girbovec in the Anenii Noi district. After the fall, the drone exploded, initially no one was injured.

As previously reported, the site of an explosion of an unknown object was discovered in Moldova near the border with Ukraine . On the outskirts of the village of Krokmaz, burnt earth and fragments of metal and plastic were found. What exactly exploded is currently being investigated.
