In Germany, unknown individuals shot at a transport plane shortly after it took off from an air base.

This was reported by Spiegel.

The incident occurred last week — on Friday, September 26 — at the Celle air base in Lower Saxony. Unknown individuals fired New Year’s fireworks at a C130 transport aircraft belonging to the Bundeswehr.

As noted, the transport was not damaged, and the pilots immediately notified the controllers about the incident.

The German military and police then launched an investigation. They searched the air base, but found nothing.

Despite the fact that there was no specific danger to the aircraft, law enforcement officers opened proceedings for dangerous interference with air traffic.

“In Bundeswehr circles, it was said that shelling of military aircraft is very rare, but there are always cases when pilots are blinded by laser pointers. Apparently, the pyrotechnics released were a New Year’s rocket, there was talk of a flash of light and a subsequent explosion. Since the incident occurred at noon, a targeted action cannot be ruled out,” the material says.

As a reminder, in Norway, an unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle was recorded flying over one of the strategic facilities – the Equinor gas field located in the North Sea.
