In Hong Kong, a plane skidded off the runway and fell into the sea during landing, killing two people

Two people died in a plane crash at Hong Kong International Airport in the early morning of October 20. An Emirates Boeing 747 cargo plane skidded off the runway while landing, hit a company car and fell into the sea.
This is reported by the South China Morning Post .
The incident occurred at around 3:50 a.m. local time. The plane, operating flight EK9788 from Dubai, was landing on the airport’s north runway but was unable to stop within the landing zone.
According to preliminary police data, the plane hit a company car that was near the runway while in motion. After that, the aircraft fell into the water near the coast.
Two men, aged 30 and 41, who were in the car were initially reported missing. Rescuers immediately launched a search operation.
The younger man’s body was found in the sea at around 5:55am and was pronounced dead at the scene. The older man was taken to North Lantau Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:26am.
All four crew members of the cargo plane were uninjured. The northern runway was closed to flights after the accident. According to the airport administration, at least twelve cargo flights were canceled throughout the day.
Hong Kong authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. A spokesman for the Transport and Logistics Bureau said flight safety was “the top priority” and the Aviation Accident Investigation Branch was “actively working to determine the cause of the crash.”
“The Civil Aviation Department and the Airport Authority of Hong Kong will cooperate comprehensively to ensure the safe operation of the airport,” the spokesman added.
Recall that in Germany, unknown individuals shot at a transport plane shortly after it took off from an air base.
It was previously reported that a private plane crashed into the water off the coast of California in the United States, leaving at least one person dead and two others missing.
By the way, a small propeller plane that took off from Germany crashed in the Austrian Alps , with all passengers reportedly killed.
