In Ivano-Frankivsk, a man with a knife attacked a military man: details of the incident are known

On December 8, in Ivano-Frankivsk, a man intoxicated with alcohol stabbed a National Guard serviceman in a store.

This was reported by the police press service and Ukrinform .

It is noted that a fight broke out between the men. A passerby called the police, after which an investigative and operational group arrived at the scene.

Police officers conducted primary investigative actions and interviewed witnesses. Police officers also identified and detained the suspect, who turned out to be a 59-year-old local resident, against whom the court is already considering a theft case.

As it turned out, that day, the man, having entered the store, grossly violated public order and provoked a conflict with the victim. During the fight, he hit the soldier on the head several times, and then took out a knife and wounded him in the cheek.

Eyewitnesses to the incident called an ambulance. Doctors hospitalized the victim.

The attacker was charged under Part 4 of Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces up to 7 years in prison.

Earlier , another case of aggression against military territorial recruitment centers occurred in the Lviv region . During the alert events, a man of mobilization age attacked a group of TCC employees and injured one of them.

As a reminder, a tragic incident occurred in Lviv: while performing official duties , one of the servicemen of the territorial recruitment center received a fatal knife wound . The victim, who was a combat veteran, died in the hospital the next morning.
