In Kharkiv, a man with a broken bottle fragment attacked passersby, three people were injured

In Kharkiv, police detained a 22-year-old native of Cherkasy who attacked three people in the Kholodnohirskyi district of the city. According to preliminary qualifications, he is charged with hooliganism, the sanction of the article provides for up to 7 years in prison.

This is reported by the Kharkiv region police.

The incident occurred on June 20 at around 5:30 p.m. in the Kholodnohirskyi district. As of 9:45 p.m., 3 victims were known to have been injured.

According to law enforcement, a 22-year-old native of Cherkasy broke into a stall and inflicted cuts on a man with a broken bottle. After that, he punched the saleswoman in the head.

While fleeing the scene, the attacker also kicked an elderly woman who was passing by in the face. All victims are receiving necessary assistance.

The police have located the suspect and detained him. The issue of detaining the man is being resolved in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The issue of entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations based on preliminary qualification under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism) is also being resolved.

Law enforcement officers are currently conducting primary investigative actions.
