In Khmelnytskyi, People’s Deputy Labazyuk was in a traffic accident: he was hospitalized
MP Serhiy Labazyuk was involved in a traffic accident in Khmelnytskyi and was injured. He was hospitalized.
This was reported by the police of the Khmelnytskyi region, as well as the People’s Deputy himself on Facebook .
According to Labazyuk, the accident occurred on the evening of April 27, when he was returning home. He was in the back passenger seat of a Land Rover.
“I just came to my senses after a traffic accident. Like snow on my head from a quiet ride home in the evening. I was in the passenger seat in the back, despite this I received fractures, bruises and a number of troubles,” the deputy wrote.
He noted that their car was traveling within the speed limit, but the BMW driver drove into the oncoming lane and caused a head-on collision.
According to law enforcement officials, the accident occurred at around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of Kamyanets’ka and Ternopilska streets.
Police determined that the BMW was driven by a 20-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi, and the Land Rover was driven by a 40-year-old local resident.
As a result of the collision, the 45-year-old passenger of the Land Rover, identified as Serhiy Labazyuk, sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital.
A 17-year-old passenger in the BMW was also injured and was hospitalized for medical observation.
Investigators of the Khmelnytskyi District Police Department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road safety rules, which caused bodily injuries to the victim.
Law enforcement officers are currently establishing all the circumstances of the accident.
