In Kryvyi Rih, a judge in a BMW hit a child at a pedestrian crossing

In Kryvyi Rih on Monday, February 9, an 11-year-old boy was hit by a car right at a pedestrian crossing. The child was hospitalized in serious condition.

The accident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. The boy was crossing the road with his mother at a pedestrian crossing. At that moment, a BMW car hit him. The driver was a woman who works as a judge at one of the district courts.

The child suffered serious injuries after the collision. Emergency medical personnel took the boy to the hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

Law enforcement officers were at the scene of the accident. They are retrieving footage from surveillance cameras and investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

A criminal case has been opened for violation of traffic rules, which caused serious bodily injury, following the accident. The regional prosecutor’s office is supervising the proceedings. The investigation is being conducted by the territorial department of the State Bureau of Investigation in Poltava.
