In Kyiv, a man opened fire in the middle of the street: about nine shots were fired

In Kyiv, law enforcement officers have detained a man who opened fire in the Obolonsky district of the capital. The incident occurred on Obolonsky Avenue after a conflict between two men.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv police.

As reported by the department, law enforcement officers received a report of shooting, after which a special police operation was introduced in the city and a search for the attacker began.

According to the investigation, during an argument, a 38-year-old Kyiv resident pulled out a revolver and fired about nine shots at a 27-year-old man.

“The attacker then got into a car and drove away from the scene of the crime,” police said.

Later, patrol officers stopped the attacker’s car in another district of Kyiv. During the search, law enforcement officers seized a revolver chambered for Flaubert.

Despite numerous gunshots, the victim did not suffer serious injuries.

The man has now been detained and charged with hooliganism with the use of a weapon, which carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison.
