In Kyiv, a man walked around the residential area with a machine gun: he was detained by the police

In Kyiv, police officers detained a 37-year-old man who was walking around a residential complex with an automatic weapon.

This was reported to the Kyiv police.

The incident occurred the previous evening, at around 11:10 p.m., in the Dnipro district of the capital. The police received a report of an armed man on Kakhovska Street.

Law enforcement officers located the apartment where the offender entered and detained him. The man turned out to be a 37-year-old local resident who rented an apartment in this residential complex. According to police, he was intoxicated.

During a search of the apartment, police seized a Colt M-4 carbine, a hunting rifle, and about 200 rounds of ammunition. Substances that may be narcotics were also found and sent for examination.

Law enforcement officers are currently investigating all the circumstances of the incident and the origin of the weapons and prohibited substances.

As a reminder, in Kyiv, after an internal investigation, the leadership of the patrol police was dismissed – the personnel decisions affected the entire vertical.

As reported, an unknown person opened fire on people in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv.
