In Kyiv, a teenager attacked a doctor in an ambulance: details of the incident

In Kyiv, a 17-year-old boy attacked an ambulance doctor during an examination in an emergency medical vehicle. The teenager pulled out a lock of the doctor’s hair and tried to hit her in the temple. This is the ninth case of an attack on emergency medical workers in the capital since the beginning of the year.

This was reported by the Kyiv Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine.

The team arrived at the call of the boy’s mother, who reported the alleged poisoning of her son with a narcotic substance. During the examination in the ambulance, it turned out that the teenager was in a state of alcoholic intoxication.

Suddenly, he attacked the emergency room doctor, pulled out a lock of her hair, and tried to hit her in the temple. The doctor managed to cover herself with her hand.

Security guards from a nearby apartment complex responded to the cries for help. They opened the ambulance door and helped stop the attacker. The police were called to the scene, and the doctor wrote a report of the crime.

The Emergency Medical Center emphasizes that attacks on doctors are becoming systematic. Workers who come to save people are forced to defend themselves from aggression from patients.

Doctors once again called on people’s deputies to urgently adopt bill No. 10221, which provides for increased criminal liability for attacks on medical workers while performing their duties.
