In Kyiv, unknown assailants attacked a military man undergoing rehabilitation: details of the incident

In Kyiv, two unknown men attacked a 27-year-old serviceman and took money and some belongings from him.
This was reported by the Kyiv police.
As noted, the soldier contacted law enforcement officers personally. During the conversation, he said that he was in the capital for rehabilitation.
According to him, he went to a park, not far from the hospital, when two unknown men approached him with threats.
They held a knife and a screwdriver to the man’s face and took his mobile phone, personal belongings, and 8,000 hryvnias.
After the incident, the attackers fled the scene.
Soon, investigators identified and detained the attackers. They turned out to be men aged 33 and 38, who had multiple previous convictions for similar crimes.
Law enforcement officers seized weapons and other evidence from the attackers.
Investigators informed them of suspicion of robbery committed under martial law, based on prior conspiracy by a group of individuals with the aim of seizing someone else’s property, combined with a threat of violence dangerous to life or health.
The suspects are currently in custody. They face up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
