In Lutsk, law enforcement officers detained a woman who attempted to sell her six-year-old son for $25,000.

The National Police of Ukraine reported this.

The perpetrator was looking for “buyers” and was exposed during the transfer of a child at one of the city’s establishments.

The woman was charged with human trafficking and faces up to 15 years in prison. She is currently in custody. The suspect has a history of legal troubles.

The child was removed and transferred to a specialized center, where specialists are working with him. The investigation is ongoing.
