In Lviv, a man opened fire with an air gun

In Lviv, police officers detained a man who was shooting an air gun into the air in the middle of the street. The incident occurred on the evening of May 14 on Hnata Khotkevycha Street.

This was reported to the Lviv region police.

“An unknown man fired about ten shots into the air from an unknown weapon, then fled,” the post says.

Eyewitnesses called law enforcement, reporting the shooting to the 102 hotline. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

Law enforcement officers identified the shooter as a 34-year-old Lviv resident.

“The police detained him in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and the weapon from which the shots were fired was seized and sent for expert examination,” the police noted.

A criminal case has been opened under the article “Hooliganism” in connection with the shooting. The man faces up to seven years in prison.

As a reminder, in Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a man who opened fire in the Obolonsky district of the capital. The incident occurred on Obolonsky Avenue after a conflict between two men.

As reported, on the afternoon of May 1, the police received a report that an unknown man in a Volkswagen Caddy had fired several shots on Mriya Street.
