In Lviv, a mobilized man died after being beaten in the CCC: the soldier was declared a suspect
In Lviv, a TCC serviceman is suspected of beating a mobilized man who died from his injuries in hospital. According to the investigation, the victim was punched and kicked while he was lying on the floor with his hands tied behind his back and unable to defend himself.
This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.
According to the investigation, a serviceman from one of the units of the Lviv CCC and SP, together with other employees, beat the mobilized man. The suspect himself kicked the man at least twice in the torso and chest.
After the beating, the man was forcibly taken to the technical room of the Lviv Trade Center. He was later taken away by ambulance.
“At the hospital, doctors discovered the man had multiple rib fractures, severe lung damage, and other life-threatening injuries. Despite the doctors’ efforts, they were unable to save him,” the SBI post says.
The serviceman was informed of suspicion of intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, which caused the death of the victim, committed by a group of persons. This is part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment.
The court remanded the suspect in custody without bail.
The State Bureau of Investigation noted that this is not the first criminal case against the serviceman. In August 2026, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Lviv found him guilty of receiving a bribe in collusion with other persons. At that time, he was sentenced to a non-custodial sentence.
Already in September, the serviceman became a defendant in new proceedings for the beating of a mobilized person.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Investigators are identifying all CCC employees involved in the beating and are investigating the circumstances of the man’s death. The Lviv Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Defense of the Western Region is responsible for the procedural management.
Recall that in Odessa, nine members of the CCK alert groups were convicted of kidnapping men and torture . Six of them received real prison terms, and the most severe sentence is 7 years and 1 month.
As reported, in the Lviv region, a man was held in the CCC building for almost seven days and, according to him, could not leave on his own . Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets has launched an investigation and is demanding to find out on what grounds the man was held in the military registration and enlistment office for so long.
